The triptych, Timber! | Forest Fall | The Perpetual State of Flying Around in Circles, was created in response to living on Vancouver Island for a month in a rainforest off the southwest coast and coming face-to-face with deforestation daily. Cedar is one of the most harvested conifers on the island, and the irony didn’t escape me when I returned to Indiana, to my home, made of Cedar and stone; realizing that I was part of this narrative too.
